P4 Working Together

29th Mar 2023

P4 had so much fun linking their topic, World War Two, with what they had been learning in Maths. They used tape measures to measure, make and design waistcoats for World War Two soldiers, starting their careers as tailors.

They measured in centimetres. They worked so well in groups, working together and praising each other. Some children showed their group leading skills to help lead their group. Some groups inspired other groups and we talked about how great it is to inspire others.

The children created the waistcoats and designed pockets and some even made hats. They decorated the waistcoats with medals.

A big thank you to the children who were very patient models.

Well done to a very imaginative, creative class. They managed themselves, and their time, well to complete their item.
