P5 Trip to Seamus Heaney Homeplace
6th Apr 2017
On Wednesday 5th April, P5 travelled to Seamus Heaney Homeplace in Bellaghy for a KS2 project on kites. The boys and girls went with the P6 children from St.Trea's and learned about the meaning of 'A Kite for Aibhin' a poem Heaney wrote for his granddaughter, what forces act on a kite and they got to make their own Sled Kites. The children had a great time and loved being able to test their kites! A big thank you to the staff at Homeplace and Mrs Henry for accompanying us.
