P4 have been continuing to learn about their times tables. This week they were learning that e.g. 2x3 is the same as 3x2. Outside they gathered some of the beautiful autumn leaves. They worked together in pairs to decide on a multiple of two. They then used the leaves to put them in two sets, or in sets of two. Great to see the children working together and enjoying being outside learning.
When they came back inside they used Cuisenaire rods to reinforce that times tables have the same answer both ways e.g. 3 fours are the same as 4 threes.
