As part of their activity based learning and World Around Us topic, P4 learnt about how electricity gets made and how it gets to their houses. They learnt how electricity can be made using fossils fuels or using renewable sources of energy. They could see solar panels and a wind turbine from their classroom, which was very useful. They then worked together to make a light bulb light, realising they had to create a full circuit.
One of our parents, who is an electrician, sent in examples of the wires and some of his tools to show the class.
